The Greek Islands

Mykonos, Patmos, Ephesus Turkey, Rhodes, Crete, Santorini

We took a four day cruise on the ship, The Aegean, with Golden Star Cruises. It took us to the island of Mykonos, Patmos (where St. John had his vision and wrote The Revelations of the Bible), Ephesus Turkey, which isn't an island and isn't even Greek. But, it is the site of ancient Roman ruins. We also went to Rhodes, a medieval city, Crete, and the beautiful island of Santorini.

Writings in ancient Greek in Ephesus. I believe the translation is "Why are the French so rude?"
The Arcadian Way in Ephesus. It is said that Mark Anthony and Cleopatra rode down this path on their way into Ephesus during their honeymoon.
Believe it or not, this is probably the oldest advertisement in the world. It is an ad for a House of prostitution just up the street in Ephesus.
